She/her - Why did you create this work?
I was asked to create a series of artworks for an A-level textbook on Psychology. The
Swedish educational publisher had seen my personal collages, which often reveal my
own subconscious thoughts and emotions. I was given complete freedom to approach
this subject matter through the same intuitive process, visualising aspects such as our
thoughts, feelings, behaviour, mental health/illness. The aim was to introduce the
students to each chapter in a poetic, mind opening way. - How were your illustrations used?
Double spread chapter openers for a printed textbook and accompanying posters - What materials and techniques did you use?

Lynn Hatzius is a German/British artist now living in Sweden. She spent 17 years in
London establishing her career as an illustrator and working for major publishing
houses such as Penguin, Random House, Simon & Schuster and Harper Collins.
