  • Why did you create this work?
Initially created for a foundation course, it focuses on the idea of “waiting for a call that might never happen”. Multiple subjects represent different times of day, demonstrating the desperation from the main character. This is shown with the colours, orange for morning and blue for night, further emphasizing time passing.
  • How were your illustrations used?
The illustration was featured as part of my final foundation project and was later posted on my Instagram in late 2024.
  • What materials and techniques did you use?
I began by digitally sketching each subject, then I corrected the lines and added colour to the final image. After adjusting the colour of the lighting, I settled on orange because it offered the most contrast. The lighting has a slight spray paint appearance which adds to the subtle texture of the art. The software I used to create this piece was Procreate.
  • Was this project commissioned?
    Un-commissioned
