  • Why did you create this work?
    These illustrations are for the digital publishing of Mary Higgins Clark's novel "I've Got You Under My Skin", on AARP's website for their members. Laurie is the producer of a true-crime TV show, which will launch with the twenty-year-old unsolved murder of Betsy Powell. Betsy, a socialite, was found suffocated in her bed after a gala celebrating the graduation of her daughter and three friends. Meanwhile, Laurie and her son also face threats from the killer who murdered her husband years ago
  • How were your illustrations used?
    Published on AARP's website for their members, accompany the whole novel. Every few chapters get one illustration, there are 12 pieces in total.

    Xinyue Chen is a Chinese illustrator and book artist based in New York. Their works explore emotions, memories, identities and people’s connection with the environment in a poetic way. Most of their works are done in traditional media. With their unique and empathetic approach, they have provided illustrations for many renowned clients such as NYT, Scientific American, NBC News, AARP, Asia Society, The Progressive, and etc.
