Why did you choose to enter this work?
This project was special to me for several reasons. The topic felt important and timely, and it was also my very first campaign—most of my previous work has been in editorial illustration.

What’s your favourite thing about your shortlisted project?
I loved highlighting everyday freedoms we often take for granted—like independence, safety, or equal work—and seeing their quiet beauty, knowing they exist thanks to past struggles.

What excites you most about being shortlisted?
I'm excited the shortlist gives the campaign a chance to reach a wider audience. Such recognition is definitely encouraging and motivates me to keep creating good work.

Where do you usually work?
I share my studio with a group of other creatives. My setup is simple: sketchbook, iPad, laptop—and headphones, essential for focus.

How long did it take to complete your project?
I worked for about two months on this project.

What is your dream commission?
I love working on cultural reviews—but if I could pick a dream project, it would be illustrating a story by Julio Cortázar.

What’s your favourite thing to draw?
Shadows and faces.

What is your best tip for other illustrators?
Put your work out into the world—share it, enter competitions, send it to potential clients. Don’t get discouraged; good things take time.

What are your plans for the future?
I plan to keep working, explore new directions, and invest more time in personal projects—especially experimenting with traditional techniques and formats I haven't tried yet.
