Why did you choose to enter this work?
It was the most ambitious project I’ve done - 100 unique illustrations on a wide variety of topics and I’m really proud of the result so I hoped I could share a bit of the effort that went into it.
What’s your favourite thing about your shortlisted project?
I got to play with vivid colours, imaginative and layered scenes filled with people, as well as complex themes and ideas that spark curiosity - all the things I enjoy most about illustration.
What excites you most about being shortlisted?
It’s a huge honour to have a project I poured so many hours and so much heart into recognised like this. It motivates me to keep pushing forward.
Where do you usually work?
I share a studio with eight other creatives near Stigbergstorget in Majorna, Gothenburg.
How long did it take to complete your project?
Almost three months.
What is your dream commission?
The definition of a dream commission have changed many times over the years. But I'm a sucker for vinyl records so maybe it would be cool to do a really extravagant record sleeve!
What’s your favourite thing to draw?
People and scenes that I invent in my imagination that gradually take on a life of their own.
What is your best tip for other illustrators?
Make something everyday.
What are your plans for the future?
To learn new tricks.
