Why did you choose to enter this work?
It was my first stop-motion film. From concept to execution, it’s a piece represented me. I hoped to share this work with a wider audience, and I'd love to create more stop-motion pieces in the future
What’s your favourite thing about your shortlisted project?
I loved collecting voices on London’s streets and building something frame by frame. Those honest moments and the process itself meant everything to me.
What excites you most about being shortlisted?
I’m thrilled that the work has been recognised by professionals and have a chance to reach more hearts!
Where do you usually work?
I worked at Kingston’s Moving Image Workshop with great tools—and amazing technicians Dave, Pepe, and Maria, who truly brought this project to life!
How long did it take to complete your project?
I started in March 2024 and finished around May 2025. With breaks and refining, it took about a year to bring this project fully to life.
What is your dream commission?
I’d love to be part of a larger stop-motion project! Ready to dive in, learn, and grow into a small but essential gear in a giant creative machine!
What’s your favourite thing to draw?
I love capturing human connection—between friends, strangers, or family. Those small, emotional moments are what drive my storytelling and drawing.
What is your best tip for other illustrators?
Be honest. Don’t draw things you don’t believe in. Stay true to your voice—it’s more powerful than following trends you don’t connect with.
What are your plans for the future?
I’ll keep creating—whether it’s stop-motion or picture books. My dream is to grow into an artist like Eric Carle: still making joyful work at any age, eyes that light up creating something special.
