As I put lots of effort into this animation project, and it was made with love and dedication, naturally, I hope it has as much chance to be seen by people. And WIA is a perfect place and medium for t
What’s your favourite thing about your shortlisted project?
It's experimental, intimate and playful. The experience is irreplaceable and meaningful for me.
What excites you most about being shortlisted?
It's a huge encouragement for me to keep motivated on creating artwork.
Where do you usually work?
At home. But this project was made in many different places, such as filming studios, home, ceramic workshop, 3D printing workshops and so on.
How long did it take to complete your project?
For this project, it took me 1 and a half years, give or take.
What is your dream commission?
Working with Studio Ghibli, making animation for luxury brands, or getting my work physically made in a large size for fun occasions. (big dreams, I know.)
What’s your favourite thing to draw?
Geometrical shapes, plants, characters, animals and insects.
What is your best tip for other illustrators?
Keep drawing, keep getting inspired and motivated.
What are your plans for the future?
Just keep trying to make good work while still being able to spend time with my loved ones.
